The Graham Regional Theatre [GRT] chose The Wizard of Oz as their summer play this year. The audience was transported to the magical land of OZ by the GRT Troupe, who put on a stellar performance.

The play was written by L. Frank Baum, and music and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg. Background music was by Herbert Stothart, dance and vocal arrangement by Peter Howard, and orchestration by Larry Wilcox. The main cast included as Dorothy-Sarah Kate Huitt, as Toto-Brylee Jones, as Aunt Em-Nan Franklin, as Uncle Henry- Josh Kidd, as Hickory/ Tin Man- Joseph Cyr, as Hunk/Scarecrow-Jack Page, as Zeke/Cowardly Lion-Scott Kirkland, as Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch-Sarah Kidd, as Professor Marvel/The Wizard-Pat Dohoney and as Glinda the Good Witch-Summer Branum. Co-Directors Josh Kidd and Katie Huitt did a magnificent job with many helpers and an exceptional production team. The final dress rehearsal performance was well received by theater goers who couldn’t stop talking about how great the play was.

The entire troupe gave a thrilling performance with special consideration for the performers portraying the Wicked Witch and Dorothy who shined brightest during the performance.
