Young County Historical Commission meeting at Olney Heritage Museum

The Young County Historical Commission will host its monthly meeting at Olney Heritage Museum Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. If you have questions about projects, or if you are interested in joining the commission, feel free to stop by before 10 a.m. to meet the members. “I hope that some of the Olney residents will come to the meeting. Our meetings are always open to the public,” Young County Historical Commission Co-chair Susan Smith said.

Smith said the members located one historical marker in Olney at the St. Luke Lutheran Church and hopefully they will be able to refurbish the historical marker. The group’s secondary purpose is to visit the museum. Smith said, “We want to come see your museum, so I feel we will be moving through the exhibits and not really hosting a meeting. It’s a wonderful facility and surely has an equally interesting story.”
