Young County First Responders’ Barbeque Lunch and Concert Sept. 28

The Young County First Responders are taking over the HDH Pavilion from sunup to sundown Saturday, Sept. 28, to prep for the barbecue lunch and fundraiser that will benefit the Young County First Responders.

The HDH Pavilion is located at 841 Hwy 114 E in Olney, Texas. Everyone is invited to come to eat and support the Young County First Responders at the barbecue lunch from noon until 2 p.m. The local civic groups provide the lunch, and Rock Bottom BBQ and Graham Smokin’ Steers High School barbecue team are cooking the meat.

There will be volunteers and First Responders on-site to accept donations throughout the lunch. All proceeds go to aid the Young County First Responders in the event of death or injury in the line of duty. Tickets are $10 per adult and $7 per child 10 years and younger.

The fun doesn’t end after the barbecue lunch. You can return for the concert later that evening. You will not want to miss the Chris Shackelford Band and Jake Hooker and The Outsiders Band benefit concert at the same location, the HDH Pavilion from 7 p.m. until midnight. The proceeds raised from the concert will provide a communication tower for Young County responders. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple and $10 per child 12 years old and younger.

Tickets are available now at Olney Enterprise located at 213 E. Main Street  in Olney, Texas. You may also purchase tickets at the event or by sending an email to: youngcountysos@gmail.com.
