Young County Commissioner Stacey Rogers Supports the 4-H Raffle
The 4-H name represents four personal development areas of focus for the organization: head, heart, hands and health. The goal of 4-H is to develop citizenship, leadership, responsibility and life skills of youth through experiential learning programs and a positive youth development approach.
4-H holds multiple fundraisers a year to assist with scholarships. The funds also go toward covering membership fees.
The current raffle has a variety of prizes and price points. The cost is $40 per ticket or three tickets for $100. The grand prize is a 60-inch Bad Boy Maverick mower and a 6-foot by 8-foot trailer. The second prize is $1000, and the third prize is $500.
The proceeds will benefit the 4-H parent and adult leaders scholarship program. According to Joe Bob Whitaker, they hope to have the drawing at the annual Food Truck competition in Graham this summer.
You may purchase tickets from any 4-H youth member or adult leader. You may also call 940-549-0737 to find out more information about the raffle.
