Young County 4H hosts leadership camp

Young County 4H County Supervisor Penny Berend along with other counselors and project leaders hosted a leadership camp at The Refuge in Olney recently to help build the skills of 4H members who will be filling leadership roles and for those wishing to learn leadership skills.

It was a day of training, fellowship and fun for these young leaders as they spent the day participating in exercises that help teach leadership skills in fun ways.

The multi-county officer training included attendees from Baylor, Knox, Throckmorton, and Young counties.

The Young County delegation was made up of representation from all four Young County clubs. Clubs include Olney 4H Community Club, Salt Fork 4-H Community Club, Lonestar 4-H Community Club, and Renewed 4-H Homeschool Club.

County council members include Harper Creel, Haven Creel, True Creel, Addison Greenwood, Lexi Gowens, Ella Buse, Cooper Pitcock, Ace Pitcock, Tucker Pitcock, Talan Lindenfeld, Remi Shaw, and Carlee Doss. County Council Supervisor: Penny Berend, County Extension of Family & Community Health.
