Victorious Savior

Dearly beloved, Take a moment to deeply contemplate the heart-wrenching cry of Jesus as He experienced profound anguish.

In that moment of excruciating pain, the words “It is finished” flowed from His lips, an expression of victory, as His lungs filled with blood. These powerful words, uttered at the last moments of His life, bring forth a triumphant declaration: He had successfully met every righteous demand of God’s perfect law, without faltering even once in sin, and it made a way for man to return back to his creator.

Imagine the overwhelming joy that erupted in heaven as these remarkable words echoed throughout the earth, signifying the culmination of God’s divine plan for the salvation of mankind as Christ drew His final breath. The heavens rejoiced, recognizing that the path to redemption was being fulfilled in that very moment.

Yet, amidst this celebration, consider the shattering terror that accompanied those same words for the damned, as Jesus overcame every temptation that life presented during His time on Earth, establishing Him as their final judge.

Reader, Behold the Son of God, stripped of dignity, battered and bruised, scorned and rejected, hanging lifeless upon the cross, shouldering the weight of humanity’s sins. Afterward, He was laid to rest in a grave, confined beneath the earth, sealed with a massive stone at the entrance, heavily guarded to ensure that no one could remove His lifeless body.

Yet, three days later, the stone was rolled away and Jesus was raised from the dead indicating God’s acceptance of His sacrifice. He made his appearance for the next 40 days to over 500 people making the declaration that God had accomplished salvation through Him.

This moment marked a pivotal point in history, encapsulating the depth of His sacrifice and the gravity of the salvation He offers to all. It was a moment when God Himself defeated the terror of hell and judgment, bringing salvation to mankind in the person of Jesus Christ.

The Scriptures tell us, “There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

Jesus said Himself, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

God the Father said concerning Jesus, “This is my beloved Son, in whose person I delight, and with whose work I am well satisfied.”

“Oh, what majesty now encircled the rising form of the incarnate God! Never had He appeared so truly a Savior, never so illustrious a Redeemer, and never so perfectly the Mediator and Advocate as now, sealed by God the Father, quickened by God the Spirit, and radiant with the beams of His own divine glory.”

Reader, today is the day for salvation. If you have yet to embrace faith and repentance in Jesus Christ, I urge you to reflect on your life and your choices. I pray that you take a moment to examine your thoughts and the hidden secrets that dwell within your heart. Let this introspection serve as a reminder of your need for a Savior. Every second on the clock marks time that is lost you can never regain until your life is taken from you, for no one is guaranteed another day.

I pray you come to recognize that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, Who came to earth to live the perfect life we could not achieve, fulfilling all the righteous demands of the law, and then to endure a sacrificial death that we deserve because of the inward corruption in our own hearts.

Through him, we can receive an imputed righteousness that can stand before God and give us the merit of perfection. Apart from this, the only thing that awaits is the judgment of sin that no human being can deny, for the law in his own heart has condemned him.

This incredible gift is only attainable through Jesus Christ; I pray that God will lead you to Jesus of Nazareth today.

“Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.” John 19:30 NASBS
