Vacation Bible Schools Magnify God
Kids across Olney got in on the fun of vacation bible schools this month. At First Baptist Church of Olney, kids pondered a “Magnified” God - seeing the bigness of God in the smallest of things, said Dr. Chad Edgington, FBCO pastor. The kids performed songs, had snacks, missions and crafts all around the Magnified theme. The church held a worship rally each night during June 1-5.
St. Luke Lutheran Church held a Family Fun Night on June 18 around the biblical “Tree of Life.” Kids and adults of all ages heard a lesson about Adam and Eve’s expulsion from the Garden of Eden, sang songs, did a scavenger hunt and a science project, created personal Trees of Life from beads, clay, and pipe cleaners, enjoyed walking tacos and a Tree of Lifethemed snack.
Southside Baptist Church also celebrated the “Magnified, Discovering the Bigness of God in the Smallest of Things” theme during their VBS, held June 9-12. The Southside kids raised money to aid in shipping Christmas Shoeboxes, and got to “pie” Pastor Josh Hagle in the face.
