Saturday, June 10 - Noon and 8 p.m. - Bags and Beers Cornhole Tournament. Cornhole, food, live music. All levels are welcome. $25 entry for the Cornhole Tournament, $10 cover for the 380 West Band. Hotdogs and hamburgers available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Olney Volunteer Fire Department for Toys for Tots. Registration starts at noon, bags fly at 1 p.m. Two-person teams, 4 rounds of round robin to a Blind Draw Double Elimination. Payout: 40 percent to OVFD, 40 percent to 1st Place, 20 percent to 2nd place. Bonus of $300.00 to First Place winner. Band starts at 8 p.m.

June 13-14 - Young County 4-H hosts the annual Texas A&M Summer Horsemanship School at Young County Arena Outback. This hands-on riding clinic is designed for youth riders ages 8 and up. Adults are welcome. Registration fee is $40 for two full days of instruction on your own horse. Please call the Young County Extension Office for registration details- 940/549-0737. 10 a.m. Saturday, June 24 - The Olney American Legion Post 414 will host an American Flag Retirement Ceremony. If you have an American flag that is tattered and would like to respectfully dispose of it, please call the Legion at 940564-9383, or Post Commander and Incoming District Vice Commander Chris Garcia at 940-550-2831, or message the Legion via their Facebook page, American Legion Post 414. The Legion can arrange pickup or you can bring it by the American Legion building before June 24.
