Unfathomable Love

Dear Christian, May our hearts be abundantly kindled with love as we take the time to ponder the incredible sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

He willingly descended into humanity, embracing our condition so that He might bring us salvation, delivering us from the law that demands perfection, that has condemned the whole human race.

Make no mistake beloved, Jesus reigns as the King of Heaven. He is the Alpha and Omega— the beginning and the end—the Great I Am, and the very one through whom the entirety of creation was brought into existence, and yet He took to Himself flesh forever to save many from their sins.

Although He is divine and truly God, it’s essential to understand that you are precious and the object of His heart. His love for you is as vast and unfathomable as the deepest ocean, as lofty as the highest mountain peak, and stretches infinitely as far as the east is from the west.

This love is not only infinite but also transcends all human understanding; it is a perfect and patient love that will steadfastly walk alongside you through every trial and triumph in this life, leading you gently into His eternal kingdom.

Oh, the profound depth of Christ’s love! How unsearchable are His ways, filled with boundless grace beyond our comprehension!

Beloved, never lose heart, for the scripture tells us, “He will not fail you or forsake you.”

For He has the scars upon His body reminding Him of your redemption. Oh, the bruising of His skin, the crimson blood that gushed from His wounds, the furrows upon His back, the piercing of His hands and feet, and the anguish of His cries. He could never forget you; your name is etched into His heart with an iron stylus procured by His blood.

Understand, you were once under the dominion of Satan, a captive in his realm, and an enemy of God. You were spiritually dead in your transgressions, given over to all inordinate desires. Your mind was ensnared by death, filled with hidden sins that lurked in every thought. And yet, in the midst of all this, He came for you and ransomed you with His own life.

Isaiah prophesied about the love of Jesus, saying, “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every oneto his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.”

With that being said, may our hearts break forth in prayer, joining in unity with those who have gone before us: “Love brought thee from heaven to earth, from earth to the cross, from the cross to the grave. Love caused thee to be weary, hungry, tempted, scorned, scourged, buffeted, spat upon, crucified, and pierced. Love led thee to bow thy head in death.

My salvation is the point where perfect created love and the most perfect uncreated love meet together; for thou dost welcome me.”

Today, if you have ever turned away from the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that God softens the hardness of your heart and brings you to the cross, where you can see the dying Savior, Jesus Christ, bearing the weight of your iniquities.

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every one-to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6 ESV
