Tx Dot National Work Zone Safety Week

April 20 through the 24th was TX DOT’s National Work Zone Safety Week, an annual campaign to help make the public more aware of safety while driving through road construction Work sites. While driving through a work zone, you must slow to posted work zone speeds and be more aware of your surroundings as workers and heavy machinery could be on the road or close to the road.

The local workers at the Olney TX DOT substation decided to make something fun that would really catch your attention as you passed by at the intersection of Hwy79 and Hwy 251.
