




Texoma Gives raises $1.6 mln in 2023
Texoma Gives is an online fund raiser that comes around once a year and last for 24-hours. The goal is to give centralized time for all non-profits in the Texoma area to focus on getting donors excited about giving. The yearly fund raiser is billed as an online fund raiser but many non-profits taking part in the event host live events to correspond at physical locations with the online event.
Events that were scheduled included bake sales, lunches, yard sales and numerous other fun events to draw donors in to help with donations for the non-profits. Olney saw a bake sale and lunch event hosted by the Young County Senior Cub Center, a huge yard sale hosted by House of Mercy, an online auction hosted by the Olney Community Library & Art Center that had table of delicious deserts and other items that where baked and donated by Olney community members and breakfast and lunch served by the Olney Christian Community Center, The Refuge.
Number for the event at end where: 5,575-donors, donations made-1,692,475, gifts - 9,386 and 231 organizations. Olney Christian Community Center-The Refuge had the third highest donations for the event with 40 donors and $94,567.
Other non-profits result in Olney where: Young County Senior Cub Center had 59 donors and collected $12,212.
House of Mercy raised $885 from six donors and a yard sale.
Olney Community Library & Art Center had 15 donors and collected $2,855.
Keep Olney Beautiful had 28 donors and collected $8,325.
Olney Education Foundation collected $6,615 from 39 donors and The Olney Volunteer Fire Department had 36 donors and collected $5,270.
