Texoma Gives Mayor makes a splash for a good cause

Texoma Gives, an annual day of giving, fell on September 9 this year, but many nonprofits and organizations held events all week leading up to the day when a great many chose to donate to local charities. The Texoma Gives event for 2021 by the numbers: $1,843,007 raised by 5729 donors to 192 organizations.

The following are the Olney Texoma Gives participants along with their total donations received: Olney Community Library and Art Center-$3,510 from 27 donors, Olney Hope Inc. (Olney Texas Skate Park)-$326 from 6 donors, Keep Olney Beautiful-$970 from 17 donors, Olney Education Foundation- $6,125 from 33 donors, Olney Volunteer Fire Department-$1,415 from 14 donors, Olney Community Christian Center (The Refuge)-$43,327 from 30 donors, Young County Senior Cub Center (Olney Cub Center)-$7,400 from 35 donors and House of Mercy Enterprises-$11,759 from 82 donors.
