Solar Developer Says Project Still Advancing
A proposed solar project near Eliasville remains active despite a change in some of its equity ownership, County Judge Win Graham told commissioners Oct. 13.
Judge Graham said he contacted project representatives for the Tapaderos Solar Farm after hearing a report that the development had been sold.
“Some of the equity ownership in the entity has changed a little bit, but it’s still the same entity,” he said.
The distinction means the ownership interests behind the project have changed without the project itself necessarily transferring to a different legal entity.
Judge Graham said representatives told him they still expected the development to proceed.
“They felt like that the project was still moving forward,” he said.
He did not announce a construction date, completion schedule or new financing commitment.
The update followed difficulty reaching a project contact. Judge Graham said he subsequently learned that the representative he had been trying to contact had died unexpectedly.
