FEBRUARY 2020 2 - Souperbowl Stew Fundraiser at the Sr. Cub Center 11 - 2 p.m. Tickets $7. 3-“Meet the Candidates” Monday, February 3 6-8 pm at the Olney Heritage Museum located at 213 E. Main St. This will be a meet and greet forum where voters will be informed of the issues from candidates running for office on the Young County Republican Primary ballot. Contested local races are County Sheriff, County Tax Assessor Collector, County Commissioner Pct 1 and County Commissioner Pct 3. 6 - Olney Chamber: 95th Annual Olney Chamber of Commerce Banquet @ HDH Ranch and Rodeo Pavilion-Hwy 114 East, Olney, TX. Doors open @ 6 p.m. and begin with the silent auction. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. with the awards ceremony to follow. Tickets cost $20 if purchased in advanced and $25 if purchased the day of the event. Tickets will be available for purchase Jan. 1 and available at the Chamber Office or send an email to chamber@brazosnet.com to reserve your tickets. 6 - Yeti Raffle begins and lasts through March 16. 8 - Ft. Belknap Living History Association: Presents Taffy Pull and Candy-Making. Join the folks at Ft. Belknap to discover period candies and how they were made at home.
