Richeson Ops Chief Dallas Pooser Elected Chairman of TDQ Board

(GRAHAM, TX) — Dallas Pooser has been elected chairman of Texas Dairy Queen Operators Council by a vote of fellow Dairy Queen operators and their board of directors.

Pooser grew up in the Fredericksburg area, and at age 16, while still in high school, sought parttime employment with Richeson Management Corporation, a multiunit Dairy Queen operation based in Graham, Texas.

His first employment was as server and jack of all trades at Fredericksburg Dairy Queen.

After graduating from High School, Pooser sequentially managed several Richeson Dairy Queen locations until more job promotions came his way. From managing one Dairy Queen he was promoted to district manager in charge of eight units, and later he became an area manager supervising all the company district managers. Pooser was encouraged to accept the nonprofit Texas Dairy Queen organization’s election to its board of directors, and sequentially to its leadership in the board chairman role.

Pooser’s growth in the Dairy Queen industry generates strong support from fellow operators, as he brings with him a history of developing operations systems for optimum benefit to all. This exceptional expertise makes him a valuable member of International Dairy Queen’s newstore design and building committee.

Pooser is currently chief operations officer for the Richeson companies, and a Dairy Queen owner and owner-partner in additional Dairy Queen locations.
