Olney ISD Hires New Ag Teachers

Olney Independent School District’s newest agriculture teachers held a meet and greet on June 6 to introduce themselves to parents. The two new teachers Mr. Brady Reid and Ms. Alexandria Rowe, will take over the Ag department among other teaching duties at the beginning of the 2022-23 school year.

Reid has four years’ experience teaching: three years at Wimberley and one year at Dripping Springs. Reid received his Ag Education degree from Tarleton State University. Reid is originally from Wichita Falls and said all his family is from the area. Reid says he is excited to be here in Olney, to be back home and teaching at Olney ISD.

Rowe received her degree in Agricultural Services and Development from Tarleton State University. Rowe is going into her second year teaching. Rowe, from the San Antonio area, says she is a little bit ner vous being so far from home, but loves the small town feel of Olney and says everyone has been so nice and very welcoming. “I am very excited to get started teaching, get involved and to meet everybody,” she said.
