Olney Area Retired School Personnel held meeting Nov. 5

Olney Area Retired School Personnel met on Nov. 5 at St. Teresa’s Parish Hall.

First Vice President Candy Key called the meeting to order, and pledges to the American and Texas flags were led by Gerald Butler.

The thought of the day was given by Key followed by a health tip by Gloria Krueger. Key introduced Kinsi Voss , RN from Throckmorton County Memorial Hospital, who spoke about health issues of concern to retired teachers with emphasis on symptoms of heart attack and stroke . She urged all to stay aware of these important matters.

During the business session Key discussed programs for this year and Kay Strealy spoke about the children’s book project.

Members were reminded of the next meeting on Dec. 3 at Rosalie Craig’s home when toys will be collected for the fire department.

The meeting was adjourned and members enjoyed refreshments provided by Donna Haile, Theresa Henry, and Polly Voss.
