The Lady Cubs’ New Head Coach and Girls’ Coordinator is Ryan Doherty. Doherty brings almost 20 years of coaching experience to OISD, with nine years dedicated to coaching high school sports.

“I will be bringing passion, intensity, and hopefully a wealth of knowledge, and I think and we’re coming to a sweet town. So, we’re just super excited, blessed and ready to get here and hit the ground running,” Coach Doherty said.

Caleb King is the new assistant coach of the Lady Cubs and has approximately 17 years of experience in coaching. King is friends with Doherty, having worked together before coming to Olney. In addition to coaching, Olney Junior High School hired King to teach business.

In reference to himself and Doherty, King said, “We’ve worked together, and we coached against each other for many years. We’re excited to get over here and get the program rolling [and] get it going in the right direction. I just love the community, so, I am really ready to get to work.”
