The popular Refuge event, The Turkey Trot made a return for a third year. The event is held to raise funds for Olney’s Christian Community Center. The Turkey Trot has competitors running through the streets in Olney for a great cause.

It’s not Christmas in Olney until the Olney Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony that includes charoling, food and photos with Santa.

Officials from the new Young County Museum of History & Culture manned a table at the Olney Heritage Museum for a week in November, gathering oral histories from longtime local families. The event drew in many ready to donate and relive stories of Olney including Robert
Stewart.
