MSU, Angelo State Honor Graduates, Dean’s List

Several Olney and Newcastle students earned academic honors and a college degree this spring from Angelo State University in San Angelo and Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.

Angelo State University

Sarah Green of Olney graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. Ms. Green also earned a place on the ASU Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester, which recognizes students who maintain a 3.25 GPA or higher.

She was joined on the Dean’s List by three other Olney students: Allison House, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies Taaron Scrogum, majoring in Kinesiology One Newcastle student, McCarson Youngblood, also earned Dean’s List recognition in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Midwestern State University

Midwestern State University recognized five students from Olney on its honor rolls for the Spring 2025 semester.

Three students earned a place on the President’s Honor Roll, which requires a perfect 4.0 GPA: Charlee Bailey, Radiologic Technology Allie Barrington, Accounting Galilea Marquez, Radiologic Technology Jacob Hernandez, majoring in Finance, was named to the Provost’s Honor Roll, requiring a GPA between 3.75 and 3.99.

Brian Hernandez, studying Spanish, made the Dean’s Honor Roll, recognizing students with a GPA between 3.50 and 3.74.
