Will Small Businesses Survive Covid-19?
As small businesses wade further and further into the pandemic virus, the challenges will continue to grow for small businesses to overcome the lack of revenue.
Some businesses will continue to grow because of the services they provide. Some will strive to outlast the crisis that is affecting the United States economy.
President of Air Tractor Jim Hirsch says “We will continue to produce airplanes and parts, and to deliver our products while implementing best practices within our facility to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus. Air Tractor continues to monitor updates regarding COVID-19 and we are working with our advisors, both medical and government. The health of our customers and employees is a top priority. We want to do our part, and everything possible—[so] please refrain from making unnecessary visits to the factory. We thank you for your patience and for assisting us in this effort.”
Anna-Lynn Anderson of Team Pride says, “In light of the Coronavirus, Team Pride Extrusions—deemed an ‘essential business’—, is proud of our employees as they work together to ensure our customers who conduct a range of operations and services that are essential to continue critical infrastructure viability without interruption. We pray for the safety and health of each individual and family.”
Rue Rogers with Tower Extrusions says, “The COVID-19 virus is certainly having an impact. Luckily, Tower is considered an essential business as we provide aluminum to the medical, transportation and tent industries, which are all very critical at this time. Tower is doing everything we can to keep all employees safe and healthy; social distancing within the plant, around the clock sanitization, and taking the temperatures of every employee when he or she arrives to work are a few of the examples that the EHS Department implemented.”
Ronnie Cobb Vice President of Cemco says, “Covid-19 has not affected Cemco a whole lot and we are following the guidelines set in place by the state as closely as possible. Other than that, It’s business as usual.”
An important factor not to be overlooked is to take care of yourself as the business owner. Take care of your mental and physical health as well as your personal and business finances. Without the business owner there is no business.
