Graham Urgent Care Clinic Hosts Graham Chamber of Commerce Luncheon

On Tuesday, March 19, the Graham Health Care and Urgent Care Clinic hosted the Graham Chamber of Commerce luncheon with local businesses and the community. Attendees included Trina Johnson office manager of Graham Health Care and Urgent Care, Samantha Purdy MSN RN CPNP-PC and Tiffany Snow the 2019 board chairperson for Graham Chamber of Commerce. Also, a representative from Jodey Arrington’s office.

Purdy was the keynote speaker. She appropriately selected allergies as her keynote topic considering all the allergies reported this spring. According to Web MD, more than 50 million Americans suffer from allergies each year. They also state that 30 percent of adults in the U.S. suffer from allergies, and 40 percent of children suffer from allergies. The annual cost of allergies totals $18 billion in the U.S.

Purdy explained allergies and why people have allergies. She described the difference between allergy symptoms and cold symptoms. She concluded her presentation with ways to make the symptoms go away and advising when it is necessary to see a health care provider.

The meal was catered by Mogurt, NobliTea and MaBelle’s Bakery. Y100.5 donated Texas Rangers tickets for the raffle.
