First United Methodist Hosting Community Easter Service April 14

The community Easter service is at First United Methodist Church this Sunday, April 14, at 6 p.m. The entire community is invited to come to 110 W. Elm Street in Olney.

This inter-denominational service will include performances by choirs and singing groups from local churches. The Ministerial Alliance will use funds from the offering to help people in our community with utilities, gas and lodging among other needs as part of the Ministerial Allianc’s Benevolence Fund.

The special guest evangelist, Rev. Mark Winter from One Man Show Ministries in Fort Worth, will perform a humorous monologue titled “ Peter: A Tale As Big As Texas,” which is based on a script by Christian actor and comedian, Jerry Cohagan, Mark will portray Peter as a boisterous Texas shrimper. We will receive a love offering for Mark at the end of the service. As a self-supporting evangelist, he relies solely on churches and individuals to fund his ministry.

The Ministerial Alliance will provide refreshments following the service.
