First State Bank Hosts Olney Chamber’s Back-to-School Mixer

The Olney Chamber of Commerce [OCC] hosted a back-to-school mingle for Chamber members, with the goal of giving members time to socialize after a busy couple of weeks since school began, Chamber executive director Kimberly Smith said.

The title sponsor, Olney First State Bank, donated use of their bank lobby, and food and drinks were provided by Hudson’s on Main. The menu included sliders and barbecue.

Mrs. Smith says the Olney Chamber board is still working out plans to reschedule the postponed Olney in America. The July 4 fireworks celebration and concert by country singer Aaron Watson at the Olney Country Club was canceled due to heavy rains.
