First Annual Jingle & Mingle Event

First Annual Jingle & Mingle Event

On Dec. 5 Keep Olney Beautiful (K.O.B.) hosted its first annual Jingle and Mingle event. Due to Covid-19 this year, the usual Tour of Homes event was cancelled. In its place, K.O.B. decided to start a new, covid-friendly, event held outdoors. The event started at the Olney Country Club and participants and their families could walk down the road and enjoy the Christmas lights. Other activities included in this event were a hayride and photo booths. There were hot chocolate stands and the option to purchase miscellaneous treats and glow sticks as well.

Raising more than $3,500 during this event, Rue Rogers – President of K.O.B. and Olney Mayor - said that this event was more family oriented than the previous Tour of Homes, and will be an event for the years to come.

“K.O.B. appreciates all supporters and those who came and took part in the event. Overall, it was a great success and we look forward to it being bigger and better next year,” said Rogers.
