Farewell to Our Editor

The Olney Enterprise Board of Directors was excited to receive a résumé from a University of North Texas (UNT) Journalism graduate with a 4.0 GPA. The board moved quickly to hire Dionecia Petit in December 2017.

Petit took on the position of the editor of Olney Enterprise as her first job after graduating. She forged ahead with great aplomb while accepting major responsibilities hinged with difficult decisionmaking. Nevertheless, Petit’s grace and her willingness to learn and share knowledge won us over instantly. For these reasons Olney Enterprise is reluctant to see her go.

“It was a difficult decision to leave,” Petit said.

Olney Enterprise understands that our platform is a launching pad and we will see many residents come, contribute and build character as they move on to other opportunities

Dion, we adore you, and we wish you the best with all your endeavors. We will embrace you with open arms when you are ready to return home.
