The Endowment Trust Honors Larry Rich

Larry Rich, who was a founding member of the Endowment Trust of the Cemetery is retiring from the board. Lewis farmer presented him with a plaque to honor him for 40 years of service to the organization March 20.

The Endowment Trust was established in 1978 to provide a permanent fund for future development and care of the cemeteries.

Along with Rich, other founding members of the board included: John T. Myers, Wayne Davis, Janeta Lee and Gib Wright. The current board members are Jim Myers, Marlene Lukert, Lewis Farmer, Trudy Capps, Gib Wright, Janeta Lee and Melody Rogers.

Now, the Endowment Trust has grown to more than $400,000.00, mainly small donations throughout the years. The Trust provides funds to the Olney Cemetery Association for projects such as the development of streets and curbing for new cemetery lots, mowing equipment and new fencing among other items.
