Cubs fall to Loboes in District match

The Cubs Varsity Football team fell to the Cisco Loboes 40-13 on Friday, Oct. 6.

“We did some good and bad things against a good Cisco team,” Head Coach Jason Powers said. “Cisco is a team with a lot of history and they are very well coached. The end result of the Cisco game was not what we wanted.”

Also according to Powers, Jacob Hernandez scored on a 1 yard run with Eric Nuncio on the kick, and Rylan Carter scored on a 3 yard run with a failed kick. Powers hopes to gain fewer penalties than the number that were gained from this game and to hopefully implement these improvements into the game on Oct. 13 against the Anson Tigers.

“The Anson game is a huge game for us with playoff implications on the line,” Powers added.
