Commissioner’s Court Updates

Young County Commissioner’s 9:53:33 Court held its latest meeting on Monday, June 22. Due to recent COVID-19 cases in Young County and the Graham area, the meeting was closed to the public but Page can be 1 seen on YouTube.

The meeting began with the Treasurers Financial Report and updates Securities pledged. The court then considered the Auditors Budget Amendments and vouchers payable. The court considered and approved employee bonds for Deputy Tax 94 Assessor Diana Gardiner, Secretary Texas Agricultural Extension office Precinct Michelle 5 McClanahan, and Justice of Precinto the Peace 5 Deputy Clerk Lora Myers. The court then discussed a road 1 crossing of 1 permit from Baylor county special utility district for North 1 Brazos telephone for Cariker Road Road. de 1Road crossing permits for and Taylor Road were both considered, as well as the budget calendar for 2021.

The court moved on to discuss burn restrictions before taking a short recess after taking no action on item 13 on the agenda. It was considered that the voter approval tax rate at 8 percent to be given a special taxing unit. The court discussed potential resolutions on COVID-19 and SB2, then moved to budget workshop before adjourning. Young County Commissioner’s Court will meet again on Monday, June 29 to end the month.
