City Welcomes New Administrator

The City of Olney would like to extend its warmest welcome to Neal Welch as the new City Administrator for the City as of Jan. 1, 2019. Neal comes to Olney previously having served as Public Works Director for the City of Sanger and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and 30+ years’ experience in local government that will benefit the City as it continues to move forward.

The first order of business for Neal is to begin development of both short term and long term strategic plans while moving to town and settling into his new position. Neal and his wife Jana are both excited for the opportunity get to know the citizens of Olney and are in the process of purchasing a home in town. Please join the City in welcoming Neal and Jana as the newest additions to our community.

Interim City Administrator Doug Hughes’ last day with the City is Jan. 15, 2019. The City of Olney thanks Doug for his service during this interim period. Doug leaves the City believing that it has a bright future ahead and wishes to express his thanks to the residents for his short tenure here.
