Allsup’s increases accessibility and convenience
Allsup’s in Olney has ramped up “conveniences” for their patrons. The convenience store has become a one-stop-shop for almost every need you can imagine. You can purchase gas and a hot meal at the same time. Todd Peebles, the manager, said it is important to offer as many services as possible that benefit their customers. That said, the store has added additional services.
You always could purchase money orders and withdraw cash from the ATM located inside the store. Soon, you will be able to send and request money through Western Union.
“The Western Union equipment is in the store, and the employees have been trained to use it,” Peebles said. “We are waiting for the go-ahead from corporate, and we expect approval soon.”
Western Union is a financial services company based in the U.S. and offers a hassle-free way to send and receive money internationally and domestically. You can pay bills, too. This service is available 24 hours, seven days a week. Although an account is not required for transactions, you may sign up for one at www.westernunion.com.
Another service offered by Allsup’s is the Amazon lockers that you may have noticed outside in front of the store.
Allsup’s has partnered with Amazon to offer the Amazon Hub Locker available 24 hours Mon. through Sun. at the Olney location. Amazon touts the ease of pickups and returns, offering “a secure, self-service kiosk where you can pick up your Amazon packages when it’s convenient to you. The process is simple. 1. Search “Amazon Hub Locker.”. 2. Click the orange button titled “Find a Locker near you.” 3. Enter your Amazon login credentials and sign in. 4. Search by ZIP Code 76374. 5. Select Amazon Hub Locker – Sleeve located at 401 W. Main Street at Allsup’s, Olney, TX 76374-1852. After you select this location, the Hub Locker will be added to the delivery addresses listed in your Amazon account. When you order, select this address. You will receive a code after your package is delivered. You will enter the code to unlock the locker that contains your package. “Sleeve” is the lockbox identifier for Allsup’s in Olney. The other stores have a different identifier. You will see the complete list of the surrounding stores when you search by ZIP code.
The store is also selling the Olney Enterprise newspaper inside the store on the newspaper rack located to the right of the front door, next to the ATM.
