All hands on deck for the 2020 Republican gala Nov. 4

The 2020 elections are just around the corner. November 9th is the first day to file to be on the primary election ballot on March 3, 2020 for offices in Texas - from U.S. President to local county level officials. To kick off the primary election campaign season, the Young County Republican Party is having a Republican Gala and dinner on Monday evening November 4th at 7:00 pm at the Young County Arena in Graham. Keynote speaker for the Gala will be retired Lt. Col. Allen West. Lt. Col. Allen West, now a Texas resident, is a noted author, former U.S. Representative and political commentator featured on Fox News programming.

The Gala will also feature distinguished guests - U.S. Representative Jodey Arrington, State Senator Pat Fallon and State Representative Drew Springer as well as the state Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, James Dickey. According to Kyle Milam, Chairman of the Young County Republican Party, “we are extremely thrilled and proud to assemble this high level of talent and elected officials to come to Young County. West Texas is the citadel for rural conservative values and the voters in Olney and Newcastle are extremely important in electing Republican candidates that share those values.”

Milam also added that Olney voters overwhelmingly supported President Trump, Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Jodey Arrington over their Democratic opponents in the last two elections. “Now with President Trump facing unprecedented opposition from Washington Democrats, ‘All hands on deck!’ are needed in Young County to show your support for President Trump, Republican candidates and officeholders at the Gala.”

Tickets for the event are $50, including dinner and festivities, and can be obtained from either County Chairman Kyle Milam at 940-550-5211 or County Precinct Chairman Lane Burgess at 817-454-8130. Milam stated that “Lane Burgess was appointed to fill the vacancy for his Precinct and is doing an outstanding job for Olney and Young County.”
