KOB, Chamber Host Christmas Tree Lighting Amid Chilly Temperatures

The Olney Chamber of Commerce [OCC] and Keep Olney Beautiful [KOB] teamed up to host another festive and exciting tree lighting ceremony at the gazebo off Main Street in Olney.

KOB raised funds for projects with a delicious chili contest, which was very popular due to chilly weather. Santa showed up in style, arriving in a beautiful white carriage thanks to Jason Pack and PTL Carriages, LLC.

Children quickly lined up for a photo and let Santa know what they wanted for Christmas. Next up was some wonderful Christmas spirit with Pastor Chad Edgington of First Baptist Church of Olney leading the children and attendees in Christmas carols.

Here’s Your Sign with Spencer Key kept everyone well informed in the weeks before with a festive display, announcing the big event, and Sonny’s BBQ kept everyone warm for the evening with a sweet treat of hot cocoa.

The event was a complete success and has the community all in the holiday feels and ready for Christmas. Merry Christmas, Olney, from the staff here at the Olney Enterprise!

May all your Christmas memories be sweet ones.
