Sen. Springer comes to Olney Museum

Texas Sen. Drew Springer, who represented Olney for over a decade, will hold his last constituent meeting in Young County at the Olney Heritage Museum on Oct. 15.

The Town Hall style meeting will take place at 213 E. Main St. in Olney between 6-7 p.m.

Mr. Springer was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2013, and served in the House until he was elected to the Texas Senate in 2021.

He announced earlier this year that he would not seek re-election in November to have more time to work with his father’s financial services company in Weatherford.

Sen. Springer filed at least 11 bills in the 88th Texas Legislative session in 2023, including measures to allow volunteer campus security at schools and to prevent public school campuses from being designated polling places.
