Open Door Christian School hosts fundraiser

Open Door Christian Academy [ODCA] recently held a get-together at the Oak Street Baptist Church in Graham. The purpose of the get-together, according to ODCA Principal Brandi Menard, is to get everyone pumped up for the start of the donation event and to educate on best practices for driving donations.

“We are trying to get people excited about the Feed the Need for the fundraiser drive and think about how they can help support the drive,” Valorie Todd, volunteer, corporate captain and parent to students at the school, said. “We’re so appreciative of not only the local support in Graham but also surrounding communities like Olney. Our title sponsor this year is the Perry foundation who made a generous donation which we will build upon.”

The Feed the Need fundraiser is not only about raising funds for the school but to also send 10,000 meals to Haiti, said Mrs. Todd who also said the students will hand pack every meal being sent. She said the fundraiser also teaches students to be locally and globally mission-minded and to serve Christ here and abroad.
