Olney Theatre Troupe Update

Feb. 21, 2019. The Olney Theatre Troupe m(OTT) is into its second week and has already doubled its size since the week before.

Christian Sanders the teacher, mentor and director said the participants have chosen scenes from Aesop’s Fables to perform. Aesop was a slave and storyteller who lived in ancient Greece. His stories did not become a collection until three centuries after his death in 564 BCE.

Although OTT has doubled, they are still looking for more participants to join. Sanders said, “Last week the children got really excited and involved. They read through the show, and I had them read scenes aloud. This week they were doing some rehearsing of the script and playing some fun theater games to get them comfortable with the acting.”
