Olney Elementary Students Receive Books from Olney Community Library and Arts Center

Students from Olney Elementary School received a free paperback book with their classroom visit to the library during the week of April 29 through May 2.

The Olney Community Library continued this program because of funds provided through the generous and caring sponsorship of Guidance Oil Developers. We are very thankful to Raymond Lunsford and Cully Williams for their commitment to this distribution.

Students were able to choose a book from their reading level or interest, as well as from picture books, popular series and authors, and non-fiction. The books are theirs to keep, read, and treasure!

The purpose of this book distribution is to promote reading as an enjoyable and important activity! This gives students a chance to select a book that will start them down the path or further their adventures into books.
