Christmas in the Air was a success this year. The crowd was a good size, but there was room for more. This year, the Olney Junior High School basketball game impacted attendance.

There were several vendors selling items appropriate for gifts and stocking stuffers. The food vendors provided hot chocolate, warm apple cider, Christmas cookies and other foods to ignite the Christmas spirit.

Chad Edgington, pastor of First Baptist Church Olney, played his guitar and sang a variety of Christmas Songs as well as carolers.

The highlight of the evening was of course Santa who was escorted to the gazebo in his horse and carriage (since his sleigh getting tuned up at the local auto shop.} The children had a good time sitting on Santa’s lap sharing their Christmas wishes. Young County Commissioner Stacy Rogers got in on the action too.

Olney Chamber of Commerce director Stacy Wade said she was grateful for the turnout and sends a warm thank-you to everyone who attended and participated. She and the Chamber board look forward to the 2020 event.
