New Beginnings in Life

All through our lives, there are new beginnings. I can think of so many times when this is true. That thought came to mind when I was doing a complete “surgery” on my large pot of ivy. I cut, trimmed, and started new future plants in water. With care, each cut will become a new life in a pot.

I think of a young couple starting their life together—a new beginning. I think of the baby they will have—a new beginning. At 6 years old, the young child starts school—a new beginning. That child grows into their teen years—now THAT IS A NEW BEGINNING! The teen graduates and starts a new life in college or takes a job—a new beginning in their life. They meet their future mate, marry, and it starts all over again! God’s plan for our life is so good.

I think of the many friends who have lost their mates who were cut from their lives, and they had to adjust to a life beyond death. I often think of a friend who lost her mate 40 years ago and has lived alone these many years. I, too, lost my mate a few months ago, and I am experiencing the adjustment to a new life—a new beginning. After rooting in water, my little cuts

After rooting in water, my little cuts of ivy will most likely grow and flourish as beautiful new plants in colorful pots to be enjoyed in the days to come. God made a plan for our life. Each day is a new beginning. Live your best!
