Local high schools dominate One Act Play competitions

This week, local high schools participated in the first round of District One Act Play competitions. Two local schools, Newcastle High School and Olney High School, brought home many honors.

Newcastle High School earned

Best Performer: Bryanna Nickel

All Star Cast: KC Morgan and Chase Ford

Honorable Mention All Star Cast: Lynlee Terrell and Grace Ogari

Overall Best Technical Crew: Jacob Mcmillan, JT Spurlin, Caitlyn Turman, Amy Martinez, Destiney Gossett, Autumn Murphy, Jessica Martine, and Katie Payne

Newcastle OAP will be advancing to the Bi-district Competition on March 26 in Decatur.

Olney High School earned

Best Performer: Claire Pham

All Star Cast: Jenny Ford

Honorable Mention All Star Cast: Celeste Rodgers and Adelaide Edgington

All Star Lighting Tech: Cooper Lane

Olney High School will also be advancing to the Bi-district Competition on March 26 in Graham.
