HCC Hosts First Annual Fundraiser

Horizon Country Church (HCC) began on Oct. 13, 2019. The building itself is owned by Dustin Hudson. Hudson was wanting this building to be used as a church and God answered him with Horizon Country.

Horizon Country’s mission statement is to lead people to an authentic, lifechanging relationship with Jesus Christ. Their focus is to make the name of Jesus famous again on the streets of Olney, and surrounding towns by reaching out to others in the love and compassion of Jesus.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19

On Saturday Sept. 26, HCC held a Catfish dinner fundraiser to help grow their Youth Program and to help with their other outreach programs to the community of Olney. The fundraiser brought in $8,000.

“The people of Olney, and surrounding communities responded in an awesome way to assist in the growth of Horizon Country Church. So, with the opportunity to supply the needs of the Young people, we will be looking at the ways laid out to expand, also the funds will be used to take the Gospel outside the walls of the building, with outreach efforts that will be done as God leads,” says Pastor Frankie Bailey.

Horizon Country holds Celebrate Recovery classes every Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. These classes help people to break away from the bondage of addictions; not just drugs but also alcohol, tobacco, co-dependency and many other types of addictions. Gina Maxwell and Karma Davis are two of the leaders that God has made available to help those with addictions.

“Horizon Country Church will be a real church, for real people, with real struggles, where they can come and find peace and encouragement through the teaching and preaching of the Word of God. We want a family of brothers and sisters in Christ that are growing in their knowledge of Jesus, having a true relationship with Him. We strive to remove any obstacles that hinder people from being a part, and member of, a loving, encouraging, prayerful, family of proactive believers. We all pray to see you at Horizon Country Church where all people are equal, no matter what; where politics will not exist and where God’s love is shared and celebrated,” says Bailey.

Horizon Country is located at 841 Hwy 114 East at the Old Rodeo Grounds.
