First United Methodist Church of Newcastle Bake Sale

On Friday April 19, the First United Methodist Church of Newcastle hosted a bake sale to help support mission work, back pack buddies which are filled with school supplies for kids and support community members in need.

These delicious delicacies were available for purchase on Good Friday and will be available again on the Friday before Thanksgiving each year. There were many delicious treats to be had but this reporter’s very favorite is pecan pie, which was literally vanishing off the table as I was interviewing. I briefly stopped my interview to go grab my checkbook before they were all gone.

Although the treats are donated by many members, the threelovely ladies who where manning the table were: Roslyn Fowler, Debbie Whiteley and Deborah Casteel.
