D&J’s Polaris Celebrates 40th Anniversary

40 years ago this month, Jimmy Russell opened D&J’s Polaris out of love for mopeds and motorcycles.

In the beginning, he had kept his day job to help support his dream of owning his own business. Through hard work, determination and a passion for motorcycles, his shop grew into the professional business it is today, Russell said.

It was not always easy terrain to navigate, Russel said as he recalled the great flood of 1978 in Graham, Texas. He had a small window of opportunity to save the contents of his business, with a quick warning from the fire department about the possibility of the flood. Through hard work and help from employees, he was able to save everything.

The building, however, did not fair so well. Water engulfed the building, reaching above the roof. Although the landlord did offer to help restore the building, Russell wisely decided to move the business to higher ground.

D&J’s Polaris has been selling fun since 1978. At D&J’s, they sell and service all Polaris ATV’s and Side by Sides, as well as sell and install accessorys. D&J’s also services other top name brands. D&J’s trained techicians have over 30 years of experience in service and repair, and D&J’s friendly sales staff is always eager to assist customers.

During the month of August, there will be a special Factory Authorized Clearance sale on all 2018 models, with rebates up to $2,500 on select models. There will be specials on non-factory atv and side by sides as well.

D&J Polaris continues to be a well-respected and trusted business in Graham and throughout the Young County area, Russell said.
