December Amity Meeting… So much fun!!

What a way to finish out the year! Members met at the United Methodist Church of Olney to drive together to Graham to the home of Jane McNatt. Jane is a collector and maker of miniature everything!!! She has miniature houses, furniture, stores, people, animals, tree decorations and the different versions of Father Christmas versions from all over the world. You can see Jane in the picture with them.

In the picture of the homes, you can see the outside with landscaping as well as the inside, some of which have tiny lights as well as the tiny furniture. Jane has always liked tiny things and used to collect Cracker Jack toys. In 1999, she spotted a magazine with dollhouse miniatures, and the rest is history. She saw an ad for a convention and has gone ever since. In fact, last year she was elected to be the second Vice President of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts. This year’s convention will be in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and you can bet she’ll be there.

After enjoying Jane’s miniatures, the members met at the Graham Country Club for a very nice lunch. We had a short meeting before lunch and went home afterward. EVERYONE had a great time.
