Registration has already begun for Camp Fire’s Harrell Park Day Camp for all 2019 sessions beginning June 3-21. You do not have to be a member of Camp Fire to attend day camp. Children who can attend must be 5 years of age or entering kindergarten in the fall through Jr. High. High school students volunteer to help adult counselors as Jr. Counselors.

The cost for the weeklong camp is $75 which includes five days of swimming and swimming lessons for every child, Geocaching, crafts, hikes, Frisbee golf, nature studies, sports and games, hoop dancing, singing, environmental studies, archery, fishing & canoeing.

Camps are arranged so that small groups of 10 to12 campers are supervised by an adult camp counselor and a junior counselor. Activities are conducted in the A. D. January Lodge as well as under large shade trees scattered throughout the park, according to Bettye Ricks, executive director for Camp Fire North Texas.
