Saturday August 20th the American Legion and The Rebel Soul Mercantile hosted a Back To School Bash at Griffin Park here in Olney, TX. The event was created to help raise money for local area kids and teachers to be used for School Supplies needed for the year. It was also a great opportunity for families to get out of the house and have a little fun. Multiple outdoor games were available such as Cornhole, Horseshoes and a big Connect 4. Music was provided by DJ Rad Dad (Chris Garcia) and several vendors were on hand as well, Funnel Vision from Wichita Falls, Cyuss’ Confections from Olney, American Legion post 414 from Olney. Unfortunately the much needed rain kept some folks from coming out but there will be plenty of more opportunities to catch our next events.
