“Alice in Wonderland” review
Following the Graham Regional Theatre summer camp for 2019, the campers performed “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” June 7 and 8 at the Graham Memorial Auditorium. This fast-paced musical production offered the audience a high-tech rendition of this classic story.
With Alice shrinking and growing, the story tells the tale of a young girl who chases the white rabbit down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. We meet the Cheshire cat, a stylish Caterpillar, the King and Queen of Hearts, The Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and several other crazy and fun characters. Students learned the lines and songs before camp and then had five days to reach a performance-ready show. Under the direction of Katie Huitt and Stephanie Sanders, the students had a fun week of learning.
The backgrounds, costumes, and talents of these students brought Graham and the surrounding areas a high-quality theater experience!
