Using And Sharing Your Talents
God has given each of us talents of various kinds. And I think of all the talents that are shared with us by those around us on a daily basis. We are blessed.
I think of Lori, a talented pianist, who shares her talent on a weekly basis. Now, she has written a devotional book…way to go, Lori! And there is Melissa, who writes an inspiring, weekly Blog. I hope we can see her work in book form one of these days.
The quilting ladies love their craft and share the fruits of their labor through numerous benevolent projects.
Jaden plays that alto sax until it “walks” with “Yakety Yak.” I love it! And JW can make that electric guitar “sing solo!” Also, JW and Sawyer are writing songs and making recordings. We look forward to seeing where they go from here.
Brie and Will are both talented photographers. I love their work, and I share their love of photography.
I know that Gina has written two books. Can we look forward to another one in the future?
Shad shares his love of God and country through his beautiful poems and stories. We are blessed to have Shad in our midst.
Scott shares Christian ideas through his art, and Kent continues to share Biblical study through his numerous devotional books.
Chad has a strong and active presence in our community, and leads our church with God-inspired leadership.
I have done many things through the years. At my age, I just say, I am no longer sewing, knitting, gardening, or playing guitar. I no longer do art, and I closed my frame shop. I just sit a lot and think up a few words for these articles!
What I did do for many years was lead in our children’s music ministry through our children’s choir program. And for many years I have worked with preschool children’s music, and lead them to learn about Jesus’ love through music.
Recently, I read these great words: “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me’.“
