New Life

It looks like my long, lonely drought has finally come to an end. I met a sweet, kind and beautiful lady who puts God first.

Usually, I would go through the list of what’s bad and what’s good when sizing up my new situation, but I just haven’t found anything but good. So, it’s a new life for me. No longer will I use the “I” but “we” when making plans and telling stories.

With this life comes more responsibilities, but they are ones I really enjoy: providing for my love and protecting her and long nights here and there of caring for her when she is sick. Occasionally, it even means giving in on arguments Most of all, though, is leading my love in our walk with Christ.

Nothing is more important in a relationship than God, because if you put God first, everything falls in place. As a man in the relationship, it falls on my shoulders to guide our relationship with God.

That doesn’t make her job any less important, though, in building this relationship. Lori is her name and many things about her pulled right away at my heartstrings. She’s incredibly sweet, very kind, beautiful and fearless in her walk with Christ.

She teaches classes, instructing others in the Bible while studying it herself everyday. Lori always puts others before herself. She makes sure that her mom always has everything she needs, making sure friends have rides where they need to go, and checking in on everyone on a daily basis. We have much in common, but we are often finding new things we both enjoy.

Lori is the perfect fit for me for other reasons as well, she is my equal in faith and commitment to be positive and kind to others. My shortcomings come more to light by her example. Sometimes when I get too busy, I’ll put off church or bible study, but Lori will lead me to put these first.

I am looking forward to a bright and exciting future with this beautiful lady who is my equal in every way.

This is Will B saying, I am not alone anymore…
