Varsity Cubs lose to Electra Tigers

The Olney Varsity Cubs football team lost to the Electra Tigers on Friday, September 14, at Cub Stadium. The final score was 21-0.

The Cubs fought hard. The offense and defense had some good plays, but they had a few errors and, between turnovers and the Tigers determination to get a win, the Cubs came up short.

The true test of a team’s metal is not always how they win, but how they lose. Some teams, when facing defeat, will just give up; the rest of the game play is them going through the motions. That cannot be said about the Cubs, they gave their all right up until the final horn blow announcing the end of the game.
